I fell very fortunate to have a healthy family and a job that I enjoy going to each day. In addition to teaching mathematics, I also love coaching volleyball. Currently I am coaching the freshman girls volleyball team at Windsor High School.
My favorite hobbies include decorating my home, scrapbooking, walking, and reading. I enjoy teaching sunday school also and currently I am team teaching the 6th grade class at Bethel Lutheran Church.
I grew up in Gurley, Nebraska and lived there through my junior year in high school. My senior year we lived in Chadron, Nebraska. I worked for two years out of high school for the department of roads construction department. I loved that job, in part because of all the math involved. I decided at that point to go to college and stayed there in Chadron and attended Chadron State College. I graduated from there in 1981. I taught for one year in Prague, Nebraska. I taught all the math classes from 7th grade through 12th grade which included 8 different preps each day. I also coached volleyball and basketball and was the annual staff advisor. That was a great experience, but I don't think I could ever do it again. I moved to Yuma, Colorado and remained there for 14 years. At Yuma I also coached basketball for 5 years, volleyball for 12 years, and was the Student Council Sponsor for 6 years and a class sponsor every year. My family moved to Windsor in 1998. I was not planning on teaching that first year here. I was happy staying at home with Haley, who was just 4 at the time. A position opened up in the middle of the year and I jumped at the opportunity to become part of the Windsor High School Math Department.
The time as really flown by and next year
I am looking forward to having the first of my children at the high school
with me.
