2007-08 CSEN Meeting Topics and Schedule
Coffee and conversation begin at 8:30 a.m.. CSEN meetings begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 12 noon.

The May 1 CSEN meeting will be held in Boulder.
The topic is "Transitions from High School to College Science."
We will look at both sides of this transition:

What features of high school science courses promote student
success in college science?  And how are teaching and learning
changing in college science courses?
Some of  the answers may surprise you, others will not.
Many high school teachers see their job as preparing
students for college science, so it's important to know just what
that means today.  The goal of this session is to provide useful data,
examples and experiences that you can use in working with
programs and professional development for high school science.

Please also bring your ideas for CSEN programming for next year!

We will be hosted by Erin Wood and Emily CoBabe-Amman of the
education/outreach program at the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space
Physics (LASP).
