The NanoLeap project is recruiting teachers for participation in a nationwide field-test of the NanoLeap into New Science materials during the 2007-2008 school year. Gore Range Natural Science School Opportunity

GRNSS seeks self-motivated, team oriented, creative and organized individuals capable of working hard in the office and the field, assisting with hut trips and other backcountry programs, and who can represent GRNSS to the community in a professional yet enthusiastic manner. Location : Eagle County , CO . Duration : June 2007 to August 2008 (*15 month commitment)
Educator Benefits : Weekly stipend + housing for June through August 2006
$20,000 stipend (no housing) for September 2006 through August 2007

Nutrition and Health: The Power of Diet in Disease Prevention - Biological Sciences Initiative
This workshop provides tools for optimizing health with diet, and offers ways to inspire student interest in the underlying molecular processes. (Note: This workshop is repeated from October 2006.)

Colorado Council of Teachers of Mathematics (CCTM)-- Mathematics Teaching Award- Nominations due April 15

CCTM would like to recognize teachers who display excellence in teaching mathematics.   The nominee must be teaching in the region from which he or she is nominated at the time of the nomination. The nominee must have taught students at least half time for three years or more. Teachers may be nominated any number of times if not a winner, submitting a new application each time, but teachers may be an award winner only once.
Applications will be mailed by May 1.  Application deadline is June 15.
An elementary nominee may be teaching mathematics in addition to other subjects in grades K-6.  A secondary nominee should be in a middle school or high school, teaching grades 6-12, and teaching mathematics 50% of the time or more.
