Field Trips

Mad Science - Colorado: Mad Science offers a large selection of after-school, preschool, summer and vacation programs, workshops, special events and birthday parties. From entertaining educational programs to educational entertainment, Mad Science sparks imaginative learning.
Denver Zoo - Self Guided Tours: Admission is $11 for adult and $7 for children. It is open everyday of the year but there are days with special events during which a class can tour the zoo and or have a lesson.

Chatfield Nature Preserve: Explore Chatfield Nature Preserve with a class field trip for Animal Homes, History Hike, Leaf Hunt, and much more. Drop-in tours are given at 11 am on Free Days, the first Friday of each month. To schedule a tour at Chatfield Nature Preserve call 303-973-3705.
- Audubon Center at Chatfield offers guided tours for grades 1-4. First Sunday of each month Walk the Wetlands. Also, inquire about Hawkwatch.
Colorado History Museum: Offers school programs, education materials, and activities for kids and families.
Dinosaur Ridge: ageologically famous National Natural Landmark, located along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, near Morrison, Colorado featuring bones from Stegosaurus, Apatosaurus, and many more..
Garden of the Gods Visitor and Nature Center: Colorado Springs. Offers guided nature walks, lecture series, and much more.
National Renewable Energy Lab: Provides group programs, youth programs, and adult programs.
Ocean Journey Aquarium: Downtown Denver, CO. Ocean Passages provides free/discounted admission for many students statewide. Free/discounted field trips are available for eligible schools in Colorado.
Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge: Drop in program Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, no reservations required. Nature Programs Saturday 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am - Noon, reservations required.
