Universe in the classroom has a quarterly electronic newsletter for teachers focusing on a current topic of astronomy with activities to bring the topic alive and understandable for students fall 2006 deals with Mercury and on Nov. 8 th it will be visible against the Sun. site provides hands on activities, references and other links.

Research - it!: This site offers customized links to sites on the Internet concerning nearly any type or form of reference material. (All)
The Revealers: A Safe Schools Website resource with information about a book discussing bullying. Be sure to look at the section for using the book where there are brief articles about the various ways the book has so far been used to address bullying.

Science and Mathematics Initiative for Learning Enhancement
The SMILE program is designed to enhance the elementary and high school learning of Science and Mathematics through the use of the phenomenological approach. . They have collections of teacher tested single concept lessons- at different levels in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Math and Physics. Great if you plan to teach subject area is divided into categories. Example t he Mathematics lessons are divided into the following categories: Geometry and Measurement , Patterns and Logic, Probability and Statistics, Recreational and Creative Math, Practical and Applied Math, Arithmetic, Graphs and Visuals, Algebra and Trigonometry, and Miscellaneous.

Writing Multiple Choice Tests: Writing good multiple choice items or any other type of test item is difficult. Visit the website for help. It contains all of the best item writing principles. Using these principles allows you to write questions that do not favor the good reader over the good science student or the good test taker over the student who understands the science but does not know little test taking strategies that help to eliminate certain answers.

RMPBS Teacherline: This website offers comprehensive professional development for PreK-12 teachers in Colorado.
Seminars on Science - American Museum of Natural History presents online seminars for science teachers. Authored and taught by meuseum scientists, the seminars cover everything from outer space to inner earth. Register online or by fax.
Teachers' Domain: Multimedia Resources for the Classroom and Professional Development
Teacher Talk: An online newsletter for the classroom teacher.  Content includes educational issues as well as lesson plans and ideas. (All)
