[Scico-list] Teacher PD Opportunity - Science Notebooks: Integrating Reading, Writing, and Math Tools (11/17 & 12/8)

One hour credit offered through the Colorado School of Mines.   

The Colorado Association of Science Teachers (CAST) is sponsoring a
Science Notebook workshop on November 17th and December 8th, 2007. This
workshop has been given rave reviews and is sure to give classroom
teachers a valuable tool for integrating reading, writing, and math into
their science classes. (See attached flyer and agenda for more
information)

Saturday, November 17th 2007, 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
Learn how Science Notebooks can be used to teach important skills such
as questioning, observing, and communicating results. Explore all the
possibilities for integrating reading, writing, and math. Materials will
be given to teachers so they can start using Science Notebooks right
away!

Saturday, December 8th, 2007, 8:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
Share classroom experiences with fellow participants using the Science
Notebooks and activities from the November 17th workshop. Participate in
activities highlighting the scientific process and learn even more about
using Science Notebooks in your classroom!
