Make a Change this School Year!
Change a Light School Contest!
September 15-October 15, 2007
Brought to You By:
U.S. EPA
State of Colorado Governor’s Energy Office
Project Learning Tree-Colorado
Colorado Environmental Film Festival
Ricks Center for Gifted Children
The ENERGY STAR Change a Light Campaign is a national challenge to
encourage every American to help change the world, one light bulb- one
energy-saving step - at a time. You can show your commitment by pledging
to replace at least one light bulb in your home with one that has earned
the ENERGY STAR label.
ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) use 75%
less energy than incandescent bulbs and last 6-10 times longer. You'll
save energy and money, and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that
contribute to global climate change. Protect the environment of today
and tomorrow - start by changing a light!
We want Colorado schools to participate in this important campaign and
learn about energy efficiency at school and in our homes!
