Longs Peak Science and Engineering Fair

Longs Peak Science and Engineering Fair (LPSEF) will hold its 42nd annual fair on Wednesday, February 29, 2012. LPSEF is a regional fair affiliated with the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). LPSEF 20 projects will qualify for the 2012 Colorado Science and Engineering Fair (CSEF) and at least one project will qualify for ISEF.

Register students for Junior (5th - 8th grade) or Senior (9th - 12th grade) Divisions.
Categories for these divisions are:

  1. Animal Sciences
  2. Behavioral and Social Sciences
  3. Chemistry
  4. Earth & Space Science
  5. Energy & transportation
  6. Engineering
  7. Mathematics & Computer Sciences
  8. Medicine and Health
  9. Microbiology
  10. Physics
  11. Plant Sciences

Projects may be either Individual or Team (2 or 3 students on the same project)

We know paperwork and registration can be tedious and confusing. If you are interested in a hands-on workshop to assist in completing paperwork, please contact lori.ball@unco.edu. Also, please visit the Intel ISEF Document Library for the 2012 Student Handbook and forms.

Project forms should be submitted to LPSEF and placed in the student notebook in the following order: Abstract; Adult Sponsor (Form 1); ISEF Student Checklist (Form 1A); Research Plan; Approval Form (1B); if required, Form 1C, Form 2, Form 3, any other forms in number order

All LPSEF fair and awards ceremony participants agree to the use of any photograph(s) taken with or without a name and for any lawful purpose (i.e., publicity, illustration, and Web content) by the LPSEF or University of Northern Colorado.
